LOVISIA Mofusand Lip Balm is a Japanese fruit-scented balm in a twist tube, wrapped in artwork from Mofusand — the cat-in-a-costume illustration series that has taken over Japanese stationery aisles. Four fruits, four cat designs, and the tube is small enough to live in a pencil case.

Under the packaging it is a properly made balm: a petrolatum and shea butter base with hydrogenated coconut oil for slip, plus vitamin C ester and acerola fruit extract. Lightweight rather than waxy, with a faint tint and a soft shine — wearable on its own, or as a base under a lip tint.

Apply any time lips feel dry.

1. Twist up a small amount of product.
2. Apply directly to clean lips, sweeping from the centre outward.
3. Reapply through the day as needed.

As a base under lipstick or lip tint: apply a thin layer, wait about a minute for it to set, then apply the colour over it. A thick layer will make the tint slide.
