ROMAND Bare Water Cushion is 70% essence, and it behaves like it — the formula goes on watery and sheer, then settles into medium coverage with a glow that reads as skin rather than makeup. It is the cushion for people who find most cushions too thick.

A fine mesh plate meters the product so the puff picks up an even amount each press, which is what keeps it from caking around the nose. Ten forms of hyaluronic acid and ceramide NP mean it holds up on dry skin through the day instead of clinging to flakes. Vegan and cruelty-free, with SPF 38 PA++++ sun filters in the formula.

1. Finish your skincare and let the moisturizer settle for a minute.
2. Press the mesh plate gently with the puff to pick up product — one press is usually enough for the whole face.
3. Dab across the face, patting rather than dragging. Work outward from the centre.
4. For more coverage, do a second thin pass only where you need it.

Reapply through the day by patting over the top — do not rub, or you will lift what is already there.

Keep the compact closed and stored upright: the formula is watery and will leak or dry out if it is left open or knocked over. Remove with an oil cleanser or balm at the end of the day.

Shade guide: 01 Porcelain 17 is a bright ivory with a pink hint; 02 Pure 21 is a pink ivory with no yellow. Both run fair.
